Arrival

We made it.

After over 24 hours of travel through 4 airports, we finally arrived in London.

The big diffs:
·        Cars driving on the wrong side of the road
·        Vast range of multicultural influence and population
·        Street signs hidden on buildings rather than easily spotted on street posts
·        Remnants of antiquity everywhere

After getting nestled in to our new abode…

We began roaming our neighboring Hyde Park. Amazing to think that one’s morning jog would lead them past the centuries-old, national monuments within the park. No big.

Classes on day 2 were a struggle. History class at 11 am London time translates to 4 am Boise time. Good thing I had completely adjusted and was peppy for our class discussion about…

That evening, we took a jaunt to see the London Eye. Little did I know that as I reached the top of the tube station stairs there would be Big Ben to BAM me. Trafalgar Square was jammed with people trying to get their faces on an evening, pre-wedding news special. We became stuck in the middle of a human glacier but pushed our way through to reach the Westminster Bridge and a view of the Ferris wheel. This concluded our adventures for the night.
